"live under the same roof as a woman" -> what is 'as' here? I looked up a dictionary only not to find any answer I wanted. The 'as' seems to me to work like the preposition 'with', but all the entries for preposition 'as' don't describe corresponding explanations. Or I was just as thick as brick to catch it. You know, looking up an English dictionary is so much of time-consuming and frustrating process where you normally end up finding not so many things as a non-native. Anyway, if it didn't work as a preposition, could it be a conjunction: "live under the same roof as a woman live"?
