Listening Help [AmE]: "I'm a smucks-dinnin' drunk." Hello. This is from an American movie called A Million Ways to Die in the West . It's 1:30 in the morning and drunk Albert wants to make up with his girlfriend, Louise, so he comes to her place. Here's the full dialogue between them: https://instaud.io/3rsD Louise: Albert, what the hell are you doing? Albert: Hey, hey. Louise, we need to talk. Louise: It's, like, 1:30 in the morning. Albert: We need to talk, and we need to talk tonight. Louise: What happened to your face? Albert: I got in a fight with an animal that I could not identify. Louise: Okay, you're drunk. Albert: I'm a smucks-dinnin' drunk. Louise: I don't know what you want from me, but it's late. I gotta go. Albert: Louise, please, listen to me. I love you, okay? I wonder if he really says "a smucks-dinnin' drunk"? If so, does it make any sense to you? I'd be very grateful for your help with this one. Thank you.

Americans do have a way with words sometimes and that could be a mix of slang and what I call gobbledegook. I’d say disregard. It won’t help you with your English.

I think you are right, and it doesn't make sense. I think it's just 'drunk talk'.

It makes no sense. It's gibberish to me. I think those words *maybe* has something to do with "schmuck" but that's very regionalised North American (I think) and someone from NA maybe has an idea on that.
