I don't know what is the difference of the meaning between "either parent" and " either of my parents". ex) I don’t know if either parent is coming to the performance. ex) I don’t know if either of my parents is/are coming to my performance. 2. I don't know what is the difference of the meaning between "neither parent" and " neither of my parents". ex) Neither parent is coming to the performance. ex) Neither of my parents is/are coming to my performance. In neither parts.. I think "neither parent is" that means parent both are not coming there. and "neither of parents is/are" that means one of parent is coming there and one of parent is not coming there. I'd like to know that meanings are right or wrong. please letting me know.
