Da gibt es mehrere Varianten:
Ich bin mir sicher, sie würde sich über eine Kleinigkeit sehr freuen.
'froh sein' passt hier nicht so recht. Es ist nicht falsch, 'freuen' klingt aber besser.

Yes, "froh sein" ist the better choice. And even more natural is replacing it with "sich freuen". I'd probably say:  "Ich bin sicher, dass sie sich über eine Kleinigkeit sehr freuen wird".
