#1 & 3 are correct. Natives will often say #2. It is incorrect but we say it often. #4 is incorrect and not said by a native speaker.

In question 4 it doesn't sound quite right because "in" and "place. It would sound better if "place" was replaced with something that you can be "in" like house or hospital. But the place where I was born is much better anyway.

Sentence 2 ist correct.      in sentence 4,  I would rather say: This is the place where I was born.
