Marios, The two most common question forms when you are talking about possession are: Have you got a car? Do you have a car? These are the forms that are taught in ESL grammar courses. If you are taking a test one of these two forms is preferrable. Have you a car? It is grammatically correct but not used often. Currently it is considered overly formal or outdated, but totally acceptable. Sometimes the "Have you?" form is used in short sentences. Have you an appointment? Have you a moment? Most native English speakers grew up hearing this children's rhyme. Baaa Baaa black sheep Have you any wool? Yes sir, Yes sir, Three bags full. One for the Master, One for the Dame, And one for the little boy Who lives down the lane. Baaa Baaa black sheep Have you any wool? Yes sir, Yes sir, Three bags full. I have heard all of these forms and others in my lifetime and travels including: You have a car? Got a car? Do you got a car?

Wrong! Do you have a car? Have you got a car? Don't ask why. Just learn it.
