"Can I help you with this work?" 　You can say; (この仕事）手伝いましょうか。＝Informal, can be used in formal too (この仕事）手伝おうか。＝Informal use only (この仕事）お手伝いしましょうか。Or お手伝いいたしましょうか＝Formal (この仕事）私がやりましょうか。＝More like, I can do this work　やります・します＝動詞のTo do ”Can I help you carrying that?" お荷物お持ちいたしましょうか。＝Very formal 荷物持ちしましょうか＝Informal You can be more relaxed and use 助けてください　Or　助けてもらえますか in your daily life, because for us(japanese people), this is not the word only for using for the survival conditions :-) However, as Dyl said, 手伝います(手伝う）is commonly used. the word 手伝う　（てつだう）　is commonly used in the context you mentioned. you can say 　ちょっと手伝ってくれますか　(would you help me please) 手伝ってあげましょうか or　お手伝い　しましょうか (Can I help you?) another word is 手助け　(てだすけ)
