Giáo viên chuyên nghiệpIn this Real English Conversations Podcast Episode on Italki, Amy and Curtis share some tips on how you can feel more comfortable when you’re speaking English and also a very important advice podcast about accent and pronunciation. There are a lot of students who want to lose their accents so that they can sound like native speakers. But when we break this down into what students want to be able to do, it comes down to these three goals: 1. To be able to speak more easily without thinking too hard, 2. To be clearly understood, 3. To understand what other people are saying And these three goals sound more like “I want to be able to communicate confidently and effectively”, instead of sounding like a native speaker.

Yes. Language is a tool to communicate as long as they can understand you. There is no need to pay more attention to the accent.
Actually some people want to speak much more like the native accent doesn't mean they are not proud of their mother language or their country. They just only want to improve themselves and be better of themselves. For example,I am from China. When I heard a Frenchman or an American speak Chinese so fluently just like a Chinese.I will be surprised and appreciate him so much.
