Hi, there Let’s say you are a teacher and the a late student comes in and starts acting up, making trouble, being loud, etc. What could you say to reprimand this student and describe this situation? Examples: “You are already late, and you comes in raising a ruckus on top of that?/causing such a commotion on top of that?/making such a fuss on top of that? “On top of being late, you comes in raising a ruckus?/causing such a commotion?/making such a fuss? “You are already late, and then you comes in and a raise a ruckus TOO/make a big fuss too(to top it off)”? “You are already late, and you have to come in and raise a ruckus too?” Which informal expressions could I use here? Thank you!

You arrived late and are disrupting the class (being disruptive). You arrived late and are making a fuss. You were late and now you’re causing problems. What you cannot say: You were late and now you’re being a sh*t disturber! 😜

Hmm ... What an interesting question! I would probably say something to the class like: "Looks like our friend needs a bit of time to settle down." And smile at him, while leading all the eyes in the classroom to stare at him.

“You come in late, and still, you act up!”
