Hello, I want to learn. I am always looking for ways to learn, but sadly I struggle with getting a routine and setting up a plan to follow. I take one lesson per week and I am happy about that. It's almost as if I am looking for someone to tell me what to do and get structure in my learning. Maybe it's me just venting. This is on my mind a lot.

I guess you need some motivation. You should think about what makes you happy when you learn languages and focus on those positive feelings.

Maybe write down your intentions first? Apparently people who write down their goals are more likely (42% more likely) to achieve them than those who don't.

You could ask your instructor what you could be doing in your time between lessons. Set aside time every day (or as many days of the week as you can spare the time). Just 30 minutes is enough. Even 20 minutes. Block the time in your calendar. I’m a fan of studying vocabulary and verbs when studying independently. If you are at intermediate level, add idioms. This way when you’re with a human, you have more language to draw on for practicing language and learning usage and grammar. You can also use some of those spots for Community Tutor practice.
