From learning many foreign languages myself I have developed my own personal hacks and tips on how to most effectively learn a new language. I accept lesson cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours in advance. However, this depends on my current lesson demand and schedule therefore I will decide on that for each individual case.

Interesting conversations at your language level. My preferred way of learning and teaching languages is through conversation, songs and games. We can talk about the cultures of different countries, current affairs or about art, music, literature, film and TV. This is a good way of getting comfortable in a language and of using words and phrases that are actually useful. We can look at a song together and think about the words. Perhaps you can learn the words of songs by heart for your homework in order to memorise useful expressions.

In my own experience, if you want to learn a language, the most effective and fun way is talking with a (native) speaker. My native language is German but I also speak English and a little French and dutch. The German I speak is "hochdeutsch" which means it is the standard German without a dialect. I also have some teaching experience: I have been tutoring other students for many years now, both in high school and at university. I always enjoy getting to meet new people this way.
