คำอธิบาย
Assamese is the language of the Brahmaputra valley in India's northeast, a relative of Bengali and Odia that took its own road. Two features make its English stand out from every other lab so far. First, Assamese has no retroflex consonants: where almost every other Indian language curls the tongue back for "t" and "d", Assamese uses sounds made further forward, so Assamese-influenced English can sound lighter and, to many outside ears, closer to a European accent. What you will learn: • Assamese in one minute • Consonant shifts • Vowel shifts • Rhythm and melody • Particles and discourse words • The decode routine: undo the shift • Practice: decode the sentence • Listening strategies • Self-check questions to test your ear Level: B1–B2. Self-study: listen, then take the quizzes. Audio voiced with AI from an original script by Dr. Rashmi R Nair.
