I'm working as an accountant for the past 6 years. It was a roller coaster ride since then. Studying for the board exam is tough and is tougher when you do it while working. Salute to all working students! So accounting is a bit technical but when you understand the basics, you will start to appreciate the beauty, that it makes sense. I would say that this career is for the wise, diligent, and detail-oriented. In order to be competent, challenging your brain is a must. Continuous studies is encouraged because of the uncontrollable changes we face in the business sector. The society is starting to embrace the digital world, new accounting standards are being developed and the existing ones are being enhanced. Slacking off is not an option!
