Improve your spanish/english with songs

Today i had an idea for to improve my English: listen to english songs and write down exactly what I hear. And then correct me myself with google. I also thought about doing it with a native English speaker, and take advantage of and recommend music in Spanish.
So... Does Someone wants to do it? :D
By the way, i love indie rock, alternative rock, folk rock, everything derived from rock.
But I'm also a book open to new music.

It's a good idea to learn bad words when you're learning a new language

I've heard that many teachers tend to not teach bad words to their students, and many people don't tend to care about that too much, which is copressible (not sure what you mean to say) for obvious reasons, but I don't think that's a good idea, because like it or not, those words are part of any language, and many people are gonna use them, and sometimes a lot.

Maybe many of us are not a very rude people or just don't like to say bad words, however, I think we all are agreed that none of us like to be insulted, and we might want to be able to defend ourselves when someone try tries to insult us, whenther whether by insulting who has insulted us or simply getting away from them.

Another point that I want to mention is that sometimes it is a little confusing when you are trying to understand a person who is saying words like fucking or damn all the time, and maybe they're not being rude to you, maybe it's just the way that they normally speak. At least for me that is a bit confusing.

They would not have thought they could complete a marathon, and they definitely didn't think they could set a record with how fast they could run. This is pretty common phrasing in English: they couldn't X, let alone Y. X is an action, Y is a more difficult action. I hope that helps!

The pie graphs displays the outcomes of a survey conducted on children showing their cultural and leisure activities by genre gender. Overall, both boys and girls enjoyed listening to music, although a bigger number of girls were keen to read as compared to boys. Computer games was were the most preferable leisure activity in comparison compared to girls, who chose dancing as their favourite sport.

Moving on to the first graph, what can be seen is that playing computer games accounted for almost a third of the preferences among boys. That activity was closely followed by basketball, which was the second largest activity chosen by boys, representing approximately a quarter of the interests of boys, in terms of percentages. Then, playing soccer and skateboarding came as less prefereable activities enjoyed by boys, at 17% and 11%, respectively. Reading, is the least interesting cultural activity for boys, depicted * see comment below* only 2%.

Taking a close look at the second graph, girls prefered dancing over the rest of the activities, representing more than a quarter of their preferences as a whole. Similarly, reading was the second most important cultural activity for girls, in contrast to boys, at 21% rate. Listening to music, just like boys, accounted for 10% of the total. Gymnastics is the least enjoyable activity for girls, with a proportion  percentage of only 11%.

A documentary about parental care in the animal kingdom

Today This morning I decided to turn change my cable TV language setting in order to improve my English listening skills. After that I looked for something interesting to watch. I found a documentary about the evolution of some species. It was specifically about cichlids (I don't know this word!) and chimpanzees.

Apparently, the cichlids evolved into 500 different species, while the chimpanzee only into three more; the human being was in one of those groups. At the beginning I thought it was a little bit strange to compare a mammal with a fish, but it made sense after they showed some behaviors in common between these animals. For example, both animals have an amazing parental care with their descendants. Chimpanzees are good at playing with their offspring and the cichlids tend to be very protective.

I was surprised of at the importance the cichlid male had. The female has the responsability responsibility to take care of the offspring, retaining them inside of her mouth, this is called by scientists as "mouthbrooding", she pick up the eggs they spawn and after a certain amount of time, she transfer the offspring to the male. And while one of them is incubing incubating the offspring, the other is resposible responsible for guarding against to guard from another fishes. I found this quite interesting, because cichlids have a biparental system to take care of their descendants just like the human being and chimpazees.

With respect of to chimpanzees, the offspring have a white tale tail that indicates to the adults that he is still "a kid" and also allows some behaviors like beating or scratching others. When they lose their tale tail, the descendants can still be discplined disciplined by their parents. Just like children, there is a point when the parents know when they can to discipline them.
