I start self down if I am a real slow learner. I have heard about "dream big" but it cannot motivate me to think that I can excel in English one day even though I learn it every day. My big dream is to be good at English. A slow learner can be good at English, I believe.

For me the 3 most important things in life are faith in God, my family and education. Faith because it is my main source of strength and hope, especially when I'm going through struggles and facing adversaries. Philippians 4:13 and Isaiah 41:10 are my favorite bible verses because they remind me that the Creator is always with me to help and guide me because I want to make my family proud. Family because they are my main source of inspiration and motivation, they are my support system. They always support me which makes me motivated to always do my best in my endeavors. Education because it's the most important inheritance that my parents could give me, that's why I take my studies seriously.

Until now I still haven’t found a proper way to improve my Japanese. The problem is that different from English and Spanish, I have learned Japanese totally by myself, in other words, I have never learned Japanese systematically. Since grammar bores me deeply, I have neglected grammar rules and advanced my learning by reading and listening a lot. Although I can read and listen properly thanks to this way of learning, I haven’t established a solid base, so when it comes to speaking and writing, sometimes I’m confused about all those grammar rules. However, when I reach a certain level, I lose the patience to learn the basics. I always feel that there’s a lack of something but I have no idea what that exactly is.

It's sunny today. MeeMaw’s stomach is still sick. I figured that she needs a special diet. Mom and I decided to make her some baby food. We blended veal, then steamed it with ginger. We mixed it with infant cereal and a pinch of salt. To be honest, the outcome wasn’t easy on eyes and the taste was gamey. Such a desperate food! I can't believe I used to eat that as a baby. But it helps a lot when your stomach doesn’t digest properly. MeeMaw's digestive system is having serious issues, so she might have to stick to this diet for a while.

I have a detached attitude to reality. I am an easterner intellectually but I am like a westerner emotionally and instinctively. As for novel writing, isn't it stringing Chinese characters together? If I'm free, I can also write novels. I was fired and earn a living as a teaching assistant. Have you left class early? Why? Well, I don't remember if I've left class early. I was a good student at school. Or at least I didn't mind sitting in the classroom till the bell rang. And also I was generally healthy as a child and never left early for not feeling well. I called in sick for flu a few times though. There were no family emergencies eigher. I think I should be grateful for that. Just a random thought back then, teenager me thought students should be entitled for voluntary days off like adults and such flexible system would have made school a more friendly and inclusive place. My teacher might have seen me as a dreamy kid.

My favorite movie is Harry Potter. I have been watching this movie since a few days ago. It's fascinating. Besides, it's ‌an English movie. So, it's very convenient for me to improve my English skills. I can learn new expressions, their accents and I can watch the movie too.
