Yesterday, I had a barbecue with people from my part-time job. I was a little late, but everyone was there, and we had a great time. The meat that someone bought was very delicious, and the yakisoba was also really good. After that, we decided to play with fireworks. At first, we thought about going to a park, but we thought the fireworks might be too loud. So, we decided to go to Enoshima by playing rock-paper-scissors. Only a few people had not been drinking alcohol, and only a few people had a driver’s license. So, we somehow asked one person to drive a rental car to Enoshima. I was very happy because it was my first time properly going into the sea at Enoshima. The fireworks were also very fun. At the end, we did sumo wrestling on the sand. I felt like I had become a child again. It was very nostalgic, and I had a lot of fun for the first time in a long time. At the end, I almost fell into the sea, but the boys were kind and put me down before I fell in. After that, one person drove almost the whole time and took everyone home. We had fun until the very end. I made a really great summer memory. I want to make more memories with everyone again!

This week, the weather turned really cold all of a sudden. I was so surprised when I went out one morning— the air felt sharp and chilly, nothing like the warm, sunny days we had just a while ago. It seems like autumn hardly stayed at all. Before I could enjoy its soft golden light, falling leaves, and gentle coolness, autumn already felt like it was gone. Trees are losing their leaves fast. Mornings are darker, and nights come much earlier now. I had to take out my thick sweaters and warm socks right away. This cold feels more like early winter than late autumn. I really miss the nice sunlight, soft wind, and that calm, warm feeling that makes autumn so lovely. Even though this sudden change feels a little sad, I know each season has its own beauty. I will keep looking for small, nice things as the days get colder.

Today I went to Ueno with my friend. We went to karaoke and had dinner together. We ate Korean food because we both like it very much. It was very hot today, but we had a great time. I was happy to spend time with my friend, and I want to go there again someday.

Recently,my favorite team was lose.I am a big fan of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. I was looking forward to watching the postseason games because I wanted them to win the championship. However, they lost, so I was very disappointed. I really wanted to see them win, but baseball is not always easy. I hope they will become stronger next season. I will continue to support them. The second topic is my recent workout. I go to the gym about three times a week. Recently, I have been training different parts of my body, such as my chest, back, arms, and legs. My favorite training is arm training because I enjoy lifting weights. Sometimes my muscles feel sore the next day, but I think it is a good sign that I worked hard. I want to continue going to the gym and build more muscle. I hope I can see good results in the future.

DIVERSITY AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES IN LANGUAGE TEACHING When I was a beginner teacher, I struggled with some expressions my students asked about. You know, the "How do you say this in English?" thing. Back then, I didn't know any better; I sometimes said, "I don't know!" or "Let me look it up, and I'll give an answer next time", even though when I thought to myself and asked myself about the equivalent in English, I couldn't find any. At first, I thought the problem was in me, and I was sure that if I did enough research, I would no longer face those problems. In my country, Algeria, in North Africa, and all over the Arab world (if not in other cultures as well, let me know in the comments), after someone finishes eating, we use an expression that translates to "I hope this food nourishes your body" or "to your good health" (the second translation is quite literal), but what I noticed was; I watch American movies and TV shows all the time, and I've never heard anyone say anything to anyone who's done with lunch or breakfast, but saying that this expression doesn't exist or this practice isn't common in western societies felt wrong, it made me feel less competent. When teaching English to speakers of other languages, it's very important to be familiar with their culture and background; this helps you bridge the gap between you and your students. If you understand where they're coming from, you can guide them better, and it will help explain that sometimes the answer is that there's no answer. So, now when my students ask me a similar question, I explain to them that in English-speaking countries, when someone is done eating, they say "nothing" to them. I also explain that it's a cultural difference, and if they want to use it, they can use it as it is, and explain that this is what we say in our country and what it translates to.

Today, I came home from a karaoke place in Omiya early in the morning. My friend had to go to the hospital in the afternoon, so we took the first train home. Before we went home, we ate beef bowls at Yoshinoya. After that, I got a stomachache. Because it was a weekday, the train was very crowded, and I could not sit down. It was hard. I slept until my part-time job at night.
