意味(いみ)は、文(ぶん)の中(なか)に、２つの選択肢(せんたくし yes or no )を含(ふく)む。
英語では【Whether  ～かどうか】

(ex)
なつやすみに日本(にほん)に行(い)くかどうか、まだわかりません。

あたらしい携帯電話(けいたいでんわ)を買(か)う　かどうか　なやんでいます。
