〈#23〉3月24日木曜日　小学校で卒業式！

こんにちは伊藤久夫です。
今日は秋葉原に行きます。秋葉原。
30年以上前に買ったファミリーコンピュータ、ファミコンを持っていますが、今のテレビに接続するためのHDMIコンバータを秋葉原で買おうと思います。
JR山の手線秋葉原駅で下車します。

秋葉原駅に着きました。
中央改札口を出るとすぐ目の前にヨドバシカメラの巨大なビルが目に入ります。
たくさんの人で賑わっています。外国人も多いですね。

さっそくヨドバシカメラの中に入ってみます。
秋葉原のこのヨドバシカメラは2005年にオープンしました。
9階建ての大きなビルです。

昔は、この辺には神田青果市場がありました。
青果市場とは野菜や果物の取引をする市場です。
フルーツ・アンド・ベジタブル・マーケットfruit and vegetable marketです。

しかし、1990年に神田青果市場は大田区に移転して、この辺りは広い空き地になりました。

2000年以降にようやくオフィスビルが建ち始めました。
その中の一つ、ヨドバシカメラはたくさんの人を集めています。

さて、HDMIコンバータですが、他の店も見たいと思います。
外は暑いですが、他の店を探しましょう。

秋葉原は1980年頃は、まだ白物家電の街でした。
白物家電とは、冷蔵庫、洗濯機、炊飯器、電子レンジなどのことです。
白い冷蔵庫、白い洗濯機、白い炊飯器など、色は白が多かったのです。

1990年、パソコンの専門店ラオックス ザ・コンピュータ館がオープンしました。
秋葉原がパソコンの街に変わったのです。
MS-DOS、Windows、Macへと進む中で、ハードディスクやメモリ、スキャナ、デジタルカメラなど周辺機器を販売する店も増えました。

パソコンが好きな若者たちはマンガやアニメも好きで、いわゆるオタクと呼ばれる人たちが秋葉原に集まって来たのです。

2000年ごろになるとパソコンがあまり売れなくなります。
そして2005年には人気アイドルグループのAKB48劇場がオープンします。
この年にヨドバシカメラアキバもオープンします。

一方、ザ・コンピュータ館は2007年に閉店しました。
いや、閉店してしまいました。
のちにAKIBAカルチャーZONEとしてリニューアルオープンしました。

秋葉原はパソコンの街から、オタクなどのサブカルチャーの街に変わりました。

さて、HDMIコンバータですが、店が見つかりません。
気温が高くて、暑いので疲れました。

あきはばらえきに　つきました。
ちゅうおうかいさつぐちをでると　すぐめのまえに　よどばしかめらの　きょだいなびるが　めにはいります。
たくさんのひとで　にぎわっています。がいこくじんも　おおいですね。

さっそく　よどばしかめらのなかに　はいってみます。
あきはばらの　このよどばしかめらは　2005ねんに　おーぷんしました。
９かいだてのおおきなびるです。

むかしは、このへんには　かんだせいかしじょうが　ありました。
せいかしじょうとは　やさいや　くだものの　とりひきをする　いちばです。
fruit and vegetable marketです。

しかし、1990ねんに　かんだせいかしじょうは　おおたくに　いてんして、このあたりは　ひろいあきちになりました。

2000ねんいこうに　ようやくおふぃすびるが　たちはじめました。
そのなかのひとつ、よどばしかめらは　たくさんのひとを　あつめています。

さて、HDMIこんばーたですが、ほかのみせもみたいと　おもいます。
そとはあついですが、ほかのみせを　さがしましょう。

あきはばらは1980ねんごろは、まだ　しろものかでんのまちでした。
しろものかでんとは、れいぞうこ、せんたっき、すいはんき、でんしれんじなどのことです。
しろいれいぞうこ、しろいせんたっき、しろいすいはんきなど、いろは　しろがおおかったのです。

1990ねん、ぱそこんのせんもんてん　らおっくす　ざ・こんぴゅーたかんが　おーぷんしました。
あきはばらが　ぱそこんのまちに　かわったのです。
MS-DOS、Windows、Macへとすすむなかで、はーどでぃすくやめもり、すきゃな、でじたるかめらなど　しゅうへんききを　はんばいするみせも　ふえました。

Common Mistakes - words that take plurals and singulars

You just got into bed after a long day, and you're exhausted. You plan to spend a few minutes on your phone — maybe scrolling Instagram or TikTok — and then sleep.

But when you try to sleep, it's not as easy as you thought it would be. You were so tired — what happened?

According to a new study, your phone may be the problem.

The study, done by researchers at New Zealand's University of Otago, involved 85 kids aged 11 to 14. They each spent a week wearing a body camera on their chest starting from three hours before they got into bed.

A second camera was also placed in their bedrooms to monitor their phone use once they were in bed. They also wore a device that tracked their sleep.

The researchers found that 99% of the participants used their phones in the two hours before bed. More than half used their phones while they were in bed, and about a third used their phones after trying to go to sleep.

The results showed that screen time in bed affected participants' sleep — it stopped them from going to sleep for about half an hour, and also reduced the amount of sleep they got.

The impact was larger when participants had a more interactive experience — such as playing a game — or if they used more than one screen. For every additional 10 minutes of this type of screen time, sleep time was reduced by the same amount.

Interestingly, phone use in the two hours before bed had little impact on sleep.

According to lead researcher Bradley Brosnan, the results suggest that, while current guidelines recommend no screen time in the hour or two before bed, keeping phones out of the bedroom might be enough for a better night's sleep.
