I think celebrating languages is a way of celebrating diversity. And by celebrating not only languages, but also those studying them we celebrate people that are getting closer to another culture, people that by learning a language get a glance of the a culture that is impossible to access by any other means. Speaking a foreign language helps people aproach different ways of thinking. So yes, lets celebrate languages and celebrate those who study them!
