Everyone in life has the right to be educated and study at school. Learning a foreign language is included in this right too , and in our modernized world it is essential to know foreign languages. However, many people see/believe that this gets children away from their own culture, while I see it is essential that children learn new languages while they keep their culture. To begin with, learning a new language, especially English, is essential and it opens the door for many opportunities in life, from studying to work and living abroad.Moreover, it helps the individual to boost his self-esteem and it has many positive impacts on the activity of our brain. Nevertheless, family and school have the ability to support children in learning and preserving their maternal language and culture. For instance, parents may supervise their children and ensure that they are learning their language well by reading and listening to it, and schools may organise trips for children to attend cultural and folkloric events.
