Giáo viên chuyên nghiệp⏳ Talking about duration in Spanish
In Spanish, we use HACE and DESDE HACE to talk about how long something has been happening.
🔹 HACE + cantidad de tiempo + que + verbo
We use this structure to say when something started.
Hace tres años que vivo en España.
Hace dos horas que espero el autobús.
👉 The action started in the past and continues now.
🔹 DESDE HACE + cantidad de tiempo
This structure focuses on the period of time until now.
No veo a Carlos desde hace un año.
Trabajo aquí desde hace cinco meses.
👉 Very common in spoken Spanish.

Both express duration up to the present.
