Hello, friend!
I study English by myself too - in Russia we study it at school and university.
But until last time, I didn't pay much attention to English and my level was low.
In recent months I have strongly increased my passive vocabulary by reading books and watching EngVid videos.
And now I feel lack in my active language skills - speaking and writing.
And this reason has led me to this site.
What resources do you use to learn English?
Greets!

Hello, friend!I study English by myself too - in Russia we study it at school and university.
But Until last time recently I didn't pay much attention to English and my level was low.
In recent months I have strongly (better 'greatly' increased) increased my passive vocabulary by reading books and watching EngVid videos.
However, now I feel lacking in my active language skills - speaking and writing.
And This is what reason has led me to this site. OR This is the reason I am now on this site.

Greets! Greetings! Generally speaking, we don't end a note, letter or message with 'Greetings'. It comes at the beginning of a correspondence. Terms such as 'Best wishes', 'Best regards', 'Regards' or in this case you could even use 'Good luck' are usually used. Using 'Greetings' to end your post isn't necessarily wrong per se for it can be regarded as a stylistic choice, and on the Internet we have a little more leeway in regard to forum postings. But just to be clear, if you were writing a more formal letter, then definitely you would close with the above (with the exception of 'Good luck') or Sincerely/Sincerely yours.
Example:
Hi, Jane,
I hope this finds you well. We are traveling to Paris to see the Louvre. I'm very excited! Please tell everyone at work I said hello. See you soon!
Sincerely yours,
Mike
Hope that helps.
Great resources:

Listening: Randall's ESL http://www.esl-lab.com/

Hi Maxim, your writing is quite good! Some other words and expressions you can use when ending a letter could be:
Take care!
Talk to you later.
Hope to be in touch soon.
In USA English, we will usually say "Greetings" at the beginning of a letter or email. Good luck with your English learning and please send me a message if you have questions about my corrections!
