TeacherBecoming an English teacher and gaining vital experience in a classroom has made for a terrific year. From aiding small children with their studies to helping adults achieve high grades to get them a better job in the future. Encouraging students of all ages the importance of learning a second language. I have learnt a lot in the past year from how to keep teenagers engaged and focussed for longer, to helping struggling students keep up with the rest of the class.

TeacherThroughout the year at this academy, I have developed many different skills and grown tremendously as a teacher. Using all of the knowledge and experience of those around me to channel into my own classes. The classes in this year have been all online, enabling me to improve virtual skills. Also, this year I have taught a wider range of levels, enhancing my knowledge and increasing my experience.

Sam is a great teacher. He's patient and always well-prepared for class. He adapts the lessons to suit your needs and provides very useful resources. He also keeps a record of the things you learn in class, so you can review them later.

Yesterday I took my FCE exam after 30 classes with Samuel. I want to say a huge THANK YOU for going through all the topics, completing all the exercises and discussing all the topics in our classes. I definitely recommend Samuel to anyone who is looking for a teacher for any purpose!

Today was my 20th lesson with Sam.
I enjoy the conversations about various topics we go into.
It helps me to explain myself better and improve my response time.
The grammar lessons are more relaxed, so you do not feel like you are in school. Sam lets you speak most of the time, which is a good thing.
I know it is hard to start to speak in front of a stranger in a foreign language. Especially when you are new to Italki. (Nobody wants to be looked down on and ridiculed.)
But there is no need to be scared.
Just try it.

Great trial lesson with Sam! I was a little nervous, but he made me feel comfortable throughout the class. He gave me helpful corrections and new words in the chat, and he also asked great questions to keep me talking. I can't wait to improve my English with Samuel.
