Anggun Anggraini

Great lesson with Anggun! We read the story of "Roro Jonggrang". Anggun had me read the story, then she translated it. Anggun picked out the important vocabulary to learn. She also explained some cultural aspects of the story as it relates to Indonesian people, which was very interesting. I enjoy Anggun's approach to using stories for learning!

Talking to Anggun felt like I was talking to my close friends. She's so fun, nice, charismatic and knows how to tailor conversations for me! Completely lost track of time LOL. Cant wait for my next lesson!

Great lesson with Anggun! Anggun told me about her day in Indonesian, and explained the sentences and new vocabulary to me. I learned a lot of new words. We also talked about some of the culture and how Indonesian people interact with friends and family overseas. Anggun's class is always entertaining, she is good at telling stories!

Hari ini kita tadi sudah memasak Krengsengang ayam, resep ini punya banyak bawang, sedikit cabe, juga banyak saus kecap manis dan asin, sekarang aku sedang tunggu sampai sudah siap, makasih lagi, aku sangat suka memasak dengan kamu, semua resep enak banget!sampai jumpa!

Great lesson with Anggun! We started by learning some vocab and grammar. After that, we read a story about the people of Bali. Anggun translated the story and asked me some questions about it. Anggun also shared some of the culture of Bali. I like the way Anggun has these stories about people and culture, it makes for interesting lessons!

Great lesson with Anggun! Anggun explained some aspects of Indonesian culture to me, and showed me some photos to help me better understand. We also read about "makan bersama" and "gado-gado". Anggun enjoys sharing about the people and culture during the lesson, which builds a strong connection!
