Mayo

Mayo san was very patient, which means a lot to me as a beginner. She explained things clearly and communicated with me very well, making it easy to follow along and stay engaged. I’m looking forward to learning more! Thank you!!

Mayo-san is an excellent teacher! She uses the Genki textbooks to teach an introduction to Japanese. She is incredibly patient and her mastery as a teacher really shines. She is always willing to answer questions and gives cultural context to Japanese phrases and sayings. I also appreciate that she starts off talking slowly then repeats the phrase at a more natural pace. That has helped me with listening comprehension. I would highly recommend Mayo-san as a teacher for people who are just starting out.

Mayo is a great teacher. Every class is well organized, with a lot of practice opportunities and scenarios. Mayo is very supportive and kind, offering her students a lot of patients and opportunities to revise anything that may still be unclear. A great class every time!

Another wonderful lesson with Mayo-sensei. I always come out of the lesson learning a lot of new things about Japanese, and having a better grasp of it than I did before!
