Malak

I adore Malak. Every lesson with her is helpful and fun. She's helped me to identify some mistakes I've consistently made, and now I know what I need to work on. I always look forward to seeing her, and having some laughs with her. It feels more like visiting with a good friend than being in a classroom. I would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their French or Maghrebi-Arabic. She has a wonderful sense of humor, and is good at explaining the finer points of language.

Malak is a friendly conversationalist who is skilled at putting her students at ease. She understands the challenges of learning a second (or third etc) language, and is well-equipped to help her students navigate those difficulties. Additionally, her warmth and enthusiasm for a wide range of topics, coupled with a natural curiosity, ensure that her lessons are always interesting, engaging, and -- importantly -- tailored to help her students learn using topics that fit their needs and interests. Malak kindly offers the corrections necessary to correct your language skills, adapted to the needs and levels of the students: these could be the granular details necessary to perfect fluency, or bigger picture issues to help with the fundamentals. I highly recommend chatting with this smart and talented teacher!

I've had literally dozens of teachers over my 5 years of learning French, so I can say this with a high degree of confidence, you are going to be hard-pressed to find anyone nearly as good as Malak. Honestly, I love working with her and no matter what concept we're working on, and let's face it, some concepts are pretty boring, she makes everything fun. As the song says, she has an "amazing mind, so understanding and so kind,". She's clever, she's witty and a little bit sassy and that's all part of her charm. I'd be willing to bet that after a few lessons, you will think of her as less of your teacher and more as your friend. So, keep looking if you want, but you will not find anyone better.

Malak is an enthusiastic francophone. She is polite, has friendly and positive demeanour. French pronunciation is something I wish improve, and find her most helpful and patient in that regard. A natural conversationalist and above par tutor.
