I am a very calm person, I really enjoy silence and nature. I love spending time with my family and my close friends. I love to travel, so I lived two years in the United States as an au pair and I enjoy traveling arround my country . I like to learn about various subjects and I really enjoy learning and teaching languages. My goal as a teacher is to create a space in which students have the opportunity to have an enriching experience that transcends academic boundaries. Especially as ELE teachers, I think that the cultural aspects of our country and of Spanish in general are inherent to teaching. From my personal experience I know that learning a new language implies acquiring a new vision of life and expanding our consciousness to a world of new possibilities and that is what I always try to convey to my students. I am a very flexible teacher and the first thing I do is to identify the level and needs of my students. Likewise, I really like that my students suggest topics to develop the classes and generate spaces for dialogue on various subjects such as cultural differences. Also, I am from Colombia so you will listen to my Colombian accent and I will teach you local vocabulary. However, I always try to contextualize and explain other ways of expressing something that exist in other Spanish-speaking countries.

I just completed my second lesson with Yenny. She is wonderful! She is able to help me structure sentences and remember grammar. I am a beginner so I am piecing together my sentences very slowly. She is incredibly patient but also politely corrects me when I need to. I am looking forward to many classes with her.
