I am an English Language teacher from the United Kingdom who has lived and taught English in the UK, Spain, Russia, the Netherlands and more! I have over 4 years experience teaching students of all levels and backgrounds, native English proficiency, and a master's degree in Law which will help me help you with professional level English.
I can help you with pronunciations, colloquialisms, and teach you English as it is really spoken. I have previously worked with a variety of ages and abilities of English learners, from groups of adults and teenagers. I am an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher, with previous experience teaching various ages and ability levels, currently teaching individual lessons for teenagers and adults on this platform. I firmly believe that making our lessons English-only spaces is the best way to improve. Personally I found that, when I started to really speak Russian and French (no matter the level I was at), I immediately felt more confident and knowledgeable, and learnt language skills a lot faster. My previous experience means that I know how to judge what level you are at and how to adapt my lessons to you. With me, there no mistakes, just opportunities to learn! My lessons are mostly conducted either as speaking practise or structured lessons. Speaking practise is mostly you, the learner, practising what you have learnt and what you know, with my help and encouragement. I had a great lesson with Ava. She is very easy to talk to, which made me feel less nervous throughout our session. She paid close attention to what I was saying and corrected my mistakes, which not only helped me improve but also built my confidence.
