Anastasiia

After three lessons (and more to come), I am very impressed by how each lesson is well prepared. Anastasiia manages to create new material while blending seamlessly some small targeted repetitions of mistakes I have made in the previous lessons, which makes it very tailored to my learning. The lessons flow easily, at a good rhythm, and are very effective :)

My lesson with Anastasiia was fun and educational. Anastasiia proceeds at an efficient, but not excessive pace, so the lesson is very productive, yet not overwhelming. Although Anastasiia has a high level of English proficiency, I was very pleased that Anastasiia conducted the lesson almost entirely in Russian. She seems to accurately sense of a student's level of comprehension and adjust her delivery accordingly. When I didn't understand, she explained using Russian synonyms and examples, which is super helpful in connecting related words and phrases. I'm grateful that Anastasiia regularly corrects my grammar, pronunciation, and word choice, and she takes great notes, which are very helpful for review. Thank you for teaching, Anastasiia!

Anastasiia is always well prepared with a lot of resources. I enjoy her lessons a lot!

This lady is the best tutor I've found on this site, no matter the language. This is due to her charisma, empathy, and (obviously) the fact that I can sputter through a whole lesson talking/listening pure Russian. She doesn't use easy translations of vocabulary in English to save time/effort, she'll teach the word by giving example sentences in Russian. She never had to ask 'what do you want to learn? what is your level?' because she deciphered it herself and then pushed me farther than other teachers would. She gives me full attention and interest and laughs at my dumb jokes and gives plenty of homework in a concise Google Doc. Though I have to step away from Russian for a little bit, I will immediately rebook lessons with her. I know that I haven't had a huge amount of lessons with her yet, but I don't write long, cringe reviews for nothing. Usually teachers are never extraordinary, but sometimes you get really lucky :D

It was such a blast to see you again! I missed our lessons. I always love how kind, supportive, and enthusiastic you are (over every little thing too!). It feels like such a safe space. The advice and encouragement is also super helpful. I'm eager to incorporate Russian more and more into my daily life. (I used Russian with my boyfriend in front of my parents recently, it was such a treat! We able to have these little moments with our own 'secret' language. ;) ) You always make me so excited to try and push myself just a bit further! I'll have to let you know how the library meetup works out :) Thank you again, as always! <3

Anastasiia is always positive and patient. I'm grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and patience she brings to each lesson. I really appreciate Anastasiia's thorough and methodical instruction and her use of exercises. I like that she corrects my pronunciation, grammar, and word choice. Thank you for teaching, Anastasiia!!
