Chi

Chi is a fantastic teacher and always makes each lesson interesting. She always has multiple topics to talk about, which allows me to expand my vocabulary. Chi also tailors the lessons around your needs and add on new concepts that are missing from your curriculum. I have been studying with Chi for a few years now and I don't regret it all. I cannot recommend Chi enough.

Chi is hands down the best teacher I’ve ever had. She comes prepared with exercises and homework, and she’s always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you get the practice you need. Even when you’re feeling discouraged, she’s there to motivate you. Chi doesn’t just teach the language—she also shares insights into Vietnamese culture and explains the origins of certain words. Her lessons are always engaging and interactive, and I notice improvement every time. I’m incredibly grateful to have Chi as my teacher, she truly is the best.

Chi is great at breaking down the Vietnamese alphabet and sounds. She's caring and patient, and the exercises she implements in class and outside are helpful for developing the ear for the different tones. This is my second class and already learning so much!

I’ve been learning Vietnamese with Chi for the past seven months, and every lesson has been an excellent experience. When I first started, it could take me 30 seconds to a minute just to form a single sentence. Thanks to her patient guidance, within about three months I was able to connect more deeply with my Vietnamese-speaking grandparents through real conversations. One of the biggest benefits has been gaining the confidence to speak without the fear of making mistakes. Chi has been a tremendous help not only in improving my fluency, but, more importantly, in helping me connect with my family in a way I never expected to achieve in such a short time. Chi is diligent and patient in teaching her student. Vietnamese is a tonal language, so pronunciation is crucial. She teaches the fundamentals of pronunciation well, which has been a great help in my Vietnamese studies.

I always look forward to talking to Chi every week. I've learned so much in our sessions. She's incredibly patient and helpful in explaining things. I wish I had found her sooner!
