Annelies is an excellent Dutch teacher. She was extremely attentive and fully focused during our lesson, and she gave very clear, practical feedback that helped me understand exactly where I can improve. What I especially appreciated is how friendly and easygoing her corrections were — it made me feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes, which really helps learning. Instead of feeling shy, I felt motivated to keep improving. I really enjoyed our first lesson and I’m very much looking forward to our next one. A very kind and understanding presence with a premade “textbook” that covers all six aspects of learning a new language in themed units that help connect vocabulary to grammar. Tailored early vocab to my personal linguistics interest and discussed the cultural differences that influence the way the language is spoken. Overall I am very excited to book lessons following my trial lesson.
