My love for languages started early. I went to a French immersion elementary school in Washington, D.C. I learned my earliest science lessons - the water cycle, the parts of insects, and simple machines - all in French.
For university, I studied engineering, and then spent four years working at a German engineering firm in the heartland of American (Nebraska) alongside Brazilian and American colleagues. Experiences like these have shaped who I am today: a polyglot, a cyclist, a problem solver, and, of course, a teacher.
Whether someone hopes to travel, advance their career, or simply learn for the love of it, it brings me joy to be part of their journey.
Tôi với tư cách là giáo viên
I believe that teaching begins with listening and understanding. I love to hear about a student's passions and motivations - from there I can create a plan to keep the student interested and engaged while working towards their goals. This requires that I hold myself to high standards of patience, respect, and humility. At the same time, I expect myself to be an expert the subject matter I teach and I continuously study to remain sharp.
Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
My lessons are primarily conversation-based, because I believe the fastest improvements happen when you practice real, natural English. I focus on helping you speak confidently, expand your vocabulary, and express your ideas clearly in everyday situations.
However, if you prefer more structure, I am very happy to prepare grammar-focused lessons on request. I have previously worked through a rigid grammar course, so I can guide you through all the (endless!) English verb tenses, explain grammar points clearly, and provide targeted practice exercises when needed.
