수정 선생님 and I are at almost 100 lessons! I have been challenging myself lately with more conversation practice, especially since I will be in Korea May-June. Recently, I've been feeling very self conscious about my speaking output and brain blocks with recalling my understandings, but 수정 선생님 is very patient and supportive. Honestly, her patience and encouragement helps me push past my feelings of self consciousness and self-imposed pressure to be at a certain level. During class, I speak in Spanish, and 수정 선생님 is challenging me to speak Korean more. When I am unsure of words in Korean, I mix Korean & Spanish together; and, if needed, English. When I feel stuck, I speak entirely in Spanish and 수정 선생님 helps me identify what words I know in Korean to help me formulate more complex sentences and fills in with new words. 수정 선생님 has my highest recommendation! Always a great time with 선생님! We never run out of stuff to talk about. She always takes time to correctly phrase my sentences and give translations for new words. She also puts our lesson notes in a separate file and emails them to me after the lesson which is super helpful. Thank you 선생님!

I can't recommend Kris enough. My Korean has progressed so much with her since I started: vocabulary, expressions, conversation, and culture. I signed up to practice my conversational skills, but I am learning so much more culture and so many more expressions and words than I thought I would. She's awesome!

수정 선생님 is very adaptable and accommodating to your learning needs. I really appreciate that can communicate what you'd like to focus on to her. 수정 선생님 will always prepare a full powerpoint with lessons and activities that she will send you after class for review. For example, I have been struggling with both number systems for months. I asked 수정 선생님 if we can focus on everyday uses of numbers for when I travel in Korea. I would like to improve recalling the numbers faster (without always counting both number systems with my fingers) and hope to become a natural thinker knowing which number system to use depending on what situation. Also, I am benefitting from listening comprehension via audio conversations and 수정 선생님 saying numbers in the speed of how one would realistically hear in everyday life! Thank you, always~

수정 선생님 is very understanding and patient, especially during our conversation practice. We've understood that I understand more Korean than I can verbally express or think of on my own, so she is focusing on encouraging me to think of words and sentences independently. I feel nervous or self conscious during these moments, but 수정 선생님 is very encouraging and supportive. She does not make you feel pressured or embarrassed with where your learning level is! When I don't know the words or how to say the full sentences in Korean, I explain in Spanish or fill in words with Spanish then English as needed. I'm so thankful to learn in this relaxed and motivating environment with 수정 선생님! 감사합니다~
