I am from a small town in the center of the State of Pennsylvania, United States. I currently live in Cuenca, Ecuador, where I have lived for over 12 years. I believe life and experience are the best sources of education. I have run several successful small businesses have been teaching English as a second language for over 8 years. I truly enjoy teaching others what I have learned in both professional environments and as a volunteer. I believe that volunteering is an essential way to give back to the community. My years of experience in teaching have helped me a great deal to learn not only the techniques behind being a good teacher but more importantly, the qualities necessary to be a great teacher. Patience, personal interest in the students, and a true desire to help others are just a few of the qualities I possess that are essential to being a motivating force behind the progress of my students. I truly love seeing students understand something for the first time. There is no greater feeling than helping others to better their lives. Profesor muy entretenido y dinamico, la clase es amena y y el tema aplicable, es paciente y entiende lo que trato de decir ayudandome a mejorar mis oraciones captando la idea pricipal. La tematica de la clase fue el uso adecuado de las frases, expresiones comunes y formas de hablar como por ejemplo al dar las gracias y pedir algo cordialmente y ser cortez al hablar con clientes en atencion y personas en general , algo muy util en mi trabajo. Escogi profesor nativo hablante que tambien habla buen espanol y me ayudo mucho con la pronunciacion correcta, y las expresiones o modismos de una lengua que es dificil entender cuando traduces literalmente. Buen profesor.
