Magdalena Golden

I'm now approaching two years of Polish lessons with Magdalena, and have enjoyed every single lesson -- it's been a joy to learn with someone who is fun, kind, and comes prepared with meticulous lesson plans every time (whether via textbooks, songs, or memes). Looking forward to many future lessons from Magdalena!

I am always amazed at Magdalena's online teaching ability--she is so professional and has a whole arsenal of resources that she shares. She is always positive, encouraging, and patient. I am an experienced language teacher myself and learn new things from her every lesson!

I've been taking lessons from Magdalena for several months now, and I can confidently say that she is hand's down the best language teacher I've had in decades. She creates such a welcoming environment to learn, I'm always looking forward to my weekly lessons with her. She has mastered the art of teaching new information, providing a variety of activities to keep you engaged, and knowing the right way to build up your language level without it feeling overwhelming. I have never had a bad lesson with Magdalena. She is consistently patient and always gives me time to try remember what I'd like to say without telling me first. She is encouraging and positive, and even makes learning difficult concepts seem approachable. She is very supportive, always knowing when to offer help when I need it. She is excellent at explaining difficult language concepts with very easy words. I learn very easily and quickly, because of the supportive atmosphere she creates in her lessons. One of the best!

I love conversing with Magdalena in Polish because she corrects me in the moment, and that's exactly what I need in this stage of my Polish language learning journey (I am sure she adjusts this based on her students' preferences and language levels). She doesn't "give" me the correct answer but she'll either pause or give a hint, allowing me to correct myself. She keeps a Google Doc for new vocab or resources, which is super helpful (as opposed to just writing stuff in the chat). I like that Magdalena has prepared topics and prepared questions but is flexible enough to veer away from the topic too. She's very enthusiastic, and has a deep understanding of language learning and teaching. Recommended!

Definitely made learning Polish not seem as hard as everyone was telling me! I look forward to the next lesson as Magdalena made the session fun!
