Lina Budiarti

Lina is a great teacher. Her small-talk method is fun, engaging and effective. I love how we spend a lot of time each lesson just talking - that's fantastic practice! I learn new words in sentences, I listen to the language more when she speaks, and, of course, I try to make sentences on my own. Lina writes everything down so I can read it again and again after our lesson. She prepares very structured and clear materials. I also have homework, and when we check it, Lina asks some additional questions - so from the very beginning (I started from 0), you will talk A LOT during Lina's classes, and that's good. She is super kind and has positive energy. Thank you for guiding me on my way to learn Indonesian :)

Ibu Lina does a great job with teaching beginners, which isn't easy! This was my first full lesson with her after a trial lesson, and I really enjoyed my time! Lina provides examples, a well-developed module curriculum, and also free talking time at the beginning of the class. She makes me feel like I have way more Indonesian in my arsenal than I originally thought. Terima kasih banyak Ibu Lina!

It wasn’t just my first lesson — it was actually the first time in my life that I had a conversation in Indonesian. I was nervous before it started, but she spoke very slowly and clearly, and explained anything I didn’t understand in English right away. She also shared her lesson notes, which makes it easy to review afterward. I’m planning a trip to Bali, and I took the lesson before going. Thanks to her, I feel confident about my trip.
