Hello, I’m Micchi, a professional Japanese teacher living on Awaji Island, known in Japanese mythology as the island of creation.
I offer topic-based lessons in Japanese for B1–C2 learners who want to explore Japanese culture, food, dashi, tea, and everyday sensibility.
For nearly 30 years, I have been involved in Japanese food culture, including home cooking, seasonings, dashi, umami, and tea.
All lessons are conducted in Japanese only. I speak at a natural speed, explain things simply, and correct your Japanese when needed.
This is not a free conversation or business Japanese lesson. Please send me a lesson request if my available times do not fit your schedule.
With a focus on learning in Japanese, I introduce Japanese culture and daily food life through specific topics.
Topics include traditional seasonings such as miso and soy sauce, basic knowledge of dashi made from katsuobushi and kombu, food habits, the proper use of chopsticks, and tea culture.
I also introduce ways of brewing Japanese tea, Chinese tea, and Taiwanese tea as part of daily life.
日本語を使って、日本の文化や日常の食生活をテーマ別に紹介しています。
味噌や醤油などの伝統的な調味料、かつお節や昆布のだしの基本、食習慣、箸の使い方、そしてお茶の淹れ方を扱います。
日本茶・中国茶・台湾茶を通して、日常の茶文化も紹介します。
