Ayumi

今年はあゆみ先生のレッスンを受けることができて、すごく嬉しいです。 先生から教わったのは、日本語だけじゃありません。いろいろな文化や、面白いこともたくさん教えてくれましたね。 今、先生のおかげ様で、私は簡単な日本語が話せます。もちろん自分でも勉強するのは大切ですが、あゆみ先生は授業の準備がすごく真面目だし、教材もわかりやすいです。 授業中も話しやすくて、レッスンの後に毎回丁寧にフィードバックをくれます。その熱意は、本当に素晴らしい。「もっと勉強したい！」という気持ちになりました。 人生で出会った中で、最高の先生の一人です。私は本当にラッキーですね。

優しい先生

Ayumi sensei is an excellent teacher. Her method of teaching the Japanese language, along with the use of the textbook Minna No Nihongo, is beneficial, especially for beginners like me. Why? Well, as a beginner, I make a lot of mistakes. I mix up words, mispronounce, and sometimes forget them. It can get frustrating sometimes. But Ayumi sensei helps build confidence by reinforcing that it is ok to make mistakes. She corrects me and tells me what the difference is, and provides an example if necessary, so I can better understand a thought or a grammar point. She provides feedback after each lesson. This includes words that I have mispronounced and provides correct spelling or grammar/usage. She also gave encouraging remarks on how I did during the lesson. As I progressed and improved my speaking, Ayumi knew when to use words that were at my level, so I am still able to converse and practice what I have been learning without lacking confidence. Overall, I highly recommend her.

This time Ayumi-sensei and I tried to read some of the items from a menu. This is very helpful because I am going to visit Japan next month. I can read hiragana, katakana, and some basic kanji. But understanding kanji in context helps me understand and remember it better. Of course, applying what we have learned from the book MNN helps a lot, too.

I’ve been learning with Ayumi 先生 for almost a year, and it has been a really positive experience. We’ve had about 100 hours of lessons, starting with once a week and eventually up to four hours weekly. She is patient, encouraging, and well-prepared. I really appreciate how she customizes each lesson to suit my goals, balancing grammar and speaking. We’ve tried different lesson formats, and she’s always proactive in asking for feedback. Her English is excellent, which makes it easy to understand even difficult grammar. After every class, she writes detailed reviews highlighting my mistakes and areas to improve, which has been very helpful for review and progress. Thanks to her support, I’ve built a strong foundation in Japanese and gained confidence in speaking. I’ll be studying in Japan soon, so I may not continue as regularly, but I’m very grateful for all her guidance. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a patient, reliable, and motivating teacher!
