Iso Isaksson

I took lessons with Iso for two months while I was visiting Sweden and highly recommend them as a teacher. Iso is a professional writer who really cares about language and is good at explaining nuances of words. Their English is excellent even by Swedish standards. I will miss talking to Iso and would love to take lessons with them again.

Just had a fantastic lesson with Iso. I booked the translation lesson and asked them to pick a Swedish poem for us to translate. Iso took the time to discuss word choice and the different connotations of words in English and Swedish. They are a writer themselves and it shows in their thoughtfulness and sensitivity and knowledge around language. This lesson reminded me just how much value there still is—in the age of Google translate and AI—in trying to learn a language more deeply and in discussing it with other people who love language too. Tack Iso!
