Athanasios Giagkos

I have been taking lessons with Saki for sometime. I have between 3-6 lessons per week. I am a Greek American that has spent a lot of time in Greece but over the years, where everyone speaks English 👎 and has very little patience to help me learn. Saki is an amazing teacher (and person) and he helps me learn by teaching me to articulate what’s on my mind. Every lesson, he writes our dialogue to which I print and study. He has adapted the lessons to be practical and exactly what works for me. I highly recommend Athanasios, but if this review results in too many people booking lessons and messing with my schedules times, I’m deleting it 😂😂😂

I had 17 hours of Greek lessons with Sakis and can wholeheartedly recommend him. The lessons are motivating, varied, and challenging in the right places. Sakis is very patient and explains everything in a friendly and understandable way. What I particularly appreciate is that the lesson content and methods are tailored exactly to my personal needs. Sakis picks up on individual questions and topics from previous lessons and continues to work on them with me. The lessons offer a good mix of grammar, reading, and practicing everyday communication. He is always responsive to questions and requests. Sakis is always optimistic and cheerful, making learning feel easy and enjoyable. I had a lot of fun so far, made progress, and am glad to have found such a great and motivating teacher! Thank you.

Sakis is an amazing tutor with an unparalleled ability to break down seemingly complex concepts and guide towards a more foundational understanding of the language. He is also able to simultaneously offer structured learning and casual conversational learning as they suite the student's needs or desires. Personally, I have found his friendly, inviting, and patient communication style to be extremely helpful in pushing through my own language barriers. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning Greek, regardless of their prior knowledge. :)
