Grace

Mwalimu Grace is always punctual and so well prepared. We finished reading a story from last time, went over some reading comprehension questions, then moved on to watching a video about the Congo forest. It was very interesting.

Great lesson with Grace! We did a brief review of the previous material. After that, we learned about numbers, telling time, days of the weeks and months of the year. There was a lot of new vocabulary. Grace did a really nice job of explaining how the patterns work. Grace has a calm, peaceful personality that makes learning with her very enjoyable!

Mwalimu Grace is so punctual, always waiting for me in the classroom. Today we watched a very interesting video about building luxury hotels inside game parks and the issues surrounding them. It triggered some great questions and discussions. We also made a plan for the next lesson. She always has different ideas to keep the lessons interesting.

Today's lesson was great! We discussed and compared cultural activities around Christmas and New Year's in the US, Kenya and Japan. We also reviewed last year's highlights and came up with some ideas for this new year of studies. Mwalimu Grace always has great questions to trigger interesting conversations. She also really cares about the student's learning.

Great lesson with Grace! We learned about how numbers work, talking about age, talking about dates and talking about time. Grace explained the way that people in Kenya count hours, since it is different. Grace really made sure that I understood each topic, and gave me the document so that I can review. Numbers are important, and I'm sure this lesson will prove very useful!

Great lesson with Grace! We learned about personal pronouns and how to make simple sentences "I am...", "you are..", etc. Grace also explained how huyu and huyo are different, and gave some context about culture with respect to introductions. Grace gives good explanations and I really like her teaching style!
