While Claudio is obviously a very talented individual and fluent in many languages, he is very passionate about his Sicilian roots and preserving the Sicilian language & culture. To me, the transference of cultural understanding & context is as important as the grammar itself. Sicily is too often misrepresented by outdated caricatures and stereotypes of what is, in reality, an island with incredibly rich & complex history, tradition, and wisdom. Whether you have Sicilian heritage or not, if you are interested in getting to know the real Sicily, Claudio is a fantastic resource.

Claudio has improved my Italian, he teaches clearly, and he provides material and methods that are very accessible and understandable. He is also a kind person, and incredibly intelligent, speaking several languages fluently. His knowledge of grammar and vocabulary is superb, he could go toe to toe with any university professor. A very friendly and encouraging first lesson including a general chat (in English) basic pronunciation, greetings and some simple dialogues. We seemed to cover a lot but it didn't feel rushed. Looking forward to practising in Mineo!
