My name is Xianshun Su, and I was born and raised in China. I like traveling and playing badminton, and I’m also good at Chinese chess. I enjoy reading books and learning more about our culture and history. I have a deep understanding of the roots of Chinese characters, and I’m always passionate about sharing the stories and culture behind each character with my students. First of all, I’m a certified Mandarin teacher who has been teaching Mandarin for 6 yrs . I obtained my CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from the Confucius Institute — it’s the only certificate that officially qualifies someone to teach Mandarin. I also hold a PSC certificate, which means I speak very standard Chinese with no regional accent.
I’m a very patient teacher — that’s why I’ve been teaching Chinese for over six years and I’m still as passionate about it as ever. I treat my students as friends. I’m always curious about them as individuals from different parts of the world, and I love hearing their stories and feelings expressed in Chinese. Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
1. The textbook, workbooks, and flashcards for the book are provided. Games and copybooks for characters for each lesson are also provided. Preview is expected to make the class more efficient and productive.
2. Half of the lesson is for speaking training. Notes are organised in Google Drive. So that you can review them easily
4. I will tell you the fastest way to make flashcards for each class or file. It will take you less than one minute each time.
5. Instructions and homework is given after each lesson to keep you engageted and guided. Homework is created according to what we learn from each class.
