My name is Barsha Basnet. I am from Nepal, a country known for its natural beauty, warm hospitality, and rich cultural traditions. I was born and raised here, and I carry a deep love and respect for the language, history, and values of my homeland. That’s why teaching Nepali is not just a job for me, it’s a passion and a way to share a part of who I am with the world.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Chemistry, which gave me a strong foundation in teaching and communication. More recently, I completed my MBA from the School of Management, Tribhuvan University , which has helped me grow not only as an educator but also as a professional.Tôi với tư cách là giáo viên
I’ve been teaching Nepali professionally since 2014. Over the years, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with students from more than 50 different countries, each one bringing their own story, culture, and curiosity.
I used to tutor to middle school and high school students when I was in Nepal. I started off teaching Nepali in person, mostly working with travelers, expats, and anyone interested in learning the language here in Nepal. However, after the pandemic hit in 2019, I transitioned to online teaching, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I believe learning a language should be fun, engaging, and meaningful. My sessions are designed to be interactive and student-focused, where you're encouraged to speak, ask questions, and participate actively. Speaking is at the heart of language learning, so I place a strong emphasis on practical conversation skills. From day one, you'll be using Nepali in real-life situations introducing yourself, asking questions, expressing your thoughts, and more.

Barsha is a great Nepali teacher. I recognized her from YouTube and was excited she was on iTalki. Already in the first lesson, I feel like I've learned sentences that will help me become conversational. She picked up where my level was at really fast and had material prepared.
