Rossanna

Rossanna is the instructor I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to begin learning French from scratch, as I am currently doing. She creates an atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable and confident, and every class is thoughtfully structured. You truly feel guided step by step through each topic in a clear and engaging way. What stands out most—beyond her warmth and clarity—is that you hardly notice how much progress you are making. Week after week, my French continues to improve naturally and steadily. Having taught for more than 22 years in language departments at various universities in the United States, I say this with full confidence: she is one of the most effective language instructors I have encountered. I highly recommend her to anyone on italki who is serious about learning French.

Rossanna is the best teacher I've had in my life on any subject. I mean that with all my heart. Each hour with her absolutely flies by. She has every personality quality you could want in a teacher - intelligent, interesting, open, fun, encouraging, and kind. Her after-class summaries and exercises are robust and very helpful. I've never enjoyed learning so much. I could be a C2 in french and would still take lessons with Rossanna.

I highly recommend Rossanna for French! I have been taking French lessons with her for a while now and she is an excellent teacher. She is incredibly encouraging and constantly focusing on the things I am doing well, while still stretching me outside my comfort zone - she is pretty much always stretching me outside my comfort zone. She is also very patient and willing to explain things over and over until I understand them. If you are looking for a French tutor, I don't think you're likely to find a better one.

Rossanna is perceptive, patient, and easy going. She is great at correcting my mistakes within the flow of the conversation. And she has a really great perspective on life. I really enjoy our lessons.
