I really enjoyed my lesson with Kana-san! She helped keep the conversation flowing when I didn't understand something and created a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere. She is quick to adapt to your learning level and create a plan for future lessons. I'm looking forward to the next one!

It was really fun talking with Kana-sensei! First time we talked about wedding parties and what types of foods are usually served at them and Mother’s Day and what sorts of gifts are usually given. Then we discussed puppies, kittens, Komodo dragons, and all sorts of other animals! We also talked about which names are most common to give pets in Japan and in the U.S. It was super fun!

Kana is a wonderful teacher. I've already taken several Japanese lessons with her and am always amazed at how she teaches the Japanese language. A lesson with her flies by. Kana adapts to my language level and patiently works through vocabulary and grammar with me using a textbook. I look forward to every lesson with her and am glad she's my teacher. Kana-sensei and I discussed animal based descriptions (like 犬っぽい and 猫っぽい) and it was a lot of fun! I’m definitely more dog-like, but most of my friends are more cat-like. I’m going to tell them about what I learned! 🐶🐱

I had a great time speaking with Kana-sensei! We discussed commercial differences, WiFi differences, and discount differences between the U.S. and Japan at restaurants and stores. We talked about what kinds of food our college cafeterias offer and lots of other fun stuff like that too!
