안녕하세요! I’m Ines, a native Korean speaker from South Korea. I speak English fluently and I’m currently learning Spanish too, so I know firsthand what it’s like to learn a new language; the struggles, the awkward pauses, and the tiny wins that keep you going. I'm interested in history, linguistics, art, literature... and I love using these topics to spark interesting conversations in class! I’ve taught English to Korean students of all ages - from young kids to high school students preparing for college entrance exams. I’m also currently volunteering as an English tutor for children through a school outreach program. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and keep lessons engaging, no matter the level or age. My students often tell me I’m patient and easy to talk to - and that means a lot to me. I work hard to make our time together feel safe and judgment-free. Mistakes are welcome here; they’re proof that you’re learning! I’ll always encourage you, support your growth, and celebrate your progress at your own pace. The #1 aim in my classes is for you to acquire Korean naturally. I often focus more on vocabulary than structured grammar rules, since I believe that it's the best effective way to pick up a language. I introduce vocabulary and try to use them through storytelling so that my students can naturally make connections with the phrase and the context. Thanks for another 5 fun lessons! We have had some interesting chats and covered lots of good vocab and natural ways to phrase ideas - I especially liked the useful and commonly used phrases/structures and expressions. I am feeling gradually more confident in speaking and writing, and I have lots of new words to listen out for in my listening. Thanks for patiently putting up with my endless pauses and my searching for words when speaking! I am looking forward to continuing our lessons!

Ines is a great teacher. She's flexible and really easy to talk to. I had a scheduling conflict and she worked with me and adapted the lesson as we went. She's fluent in English and her explanations of grammar concepts are straight to the point and really helpful. Also they don't interrupt the flow of the conversation, so it felt like a really productive lesson. Definitely plan to book with her again.
