Michelle is very supportive and helpful - I am comfortable trying to say things that are outside of my experience. I am really enjoying our lesson times, and she is great about finding good topics or asking questions that are appropriately challenging (but not TOO challenging). Michelle is really good at explaining the grammar and the concepts in a way that is clear. She is also adept at gauging how much I understand in Mandarin, and she uses clear and straightforward Mandarin to explain where possible, but is also able to provide clarification in English where necessary. I really like that she challenges me to work through the sentence / idea in Mandarin, but that I never feel stressed or pressured. I look forward to more lessons. Thank you, Michelle!
