Hello! I’m Leon, a Chinese lecturer at a university in the United States. I teach both Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese (Taigi), and I enjoy helping students build real communication skills while exploring culture.

I just had my very first lesson in Taiwanese Hokkien with this very encouraging & fun teacher. This language has been on my mind on & off for around 20 years, but I've never got very far because the lack of established study resources & available teachers was demotivating. Well, today's introduction was very organised & systematic, but it has also left me cheerful & hopeful that I will actually see results after only dreaming about speaking Hokkien for so long. I could also wholeheartedly recommend this teacher for Mandarin, if that's what you're looking for 😊
