Catherine

I have been working with Catherine for about two months now as I prepare for an important Portuguese language test for my job. My language skills have noticeably progressed with Catherine's help and I am already more comfortable and confident in my speaking skills. Catherine is always on time, polite, and very helpful. I highly recommend her conversation sessions!

Catherine is an awesome teacher! When we started our classes I had no previous Portuguese knowledge and now, only a few weeks later, I already feel comfortable with having a full conversation in Portuguese. I can actually feel how I advance with every single class. Also, she always comes prepared with a plan for the class but everything is flexible in case you prefer focusing on something different. The classes are fun and interesting and everything is done with a smile and a great energy. Thanks to Catherine I'm learning Portuguese faster than I expected and I'm enjoying the process!

very effective teaching method

I have used italki to learn Portuguese and in so doing tried various teachers. Catherine is hands down the best teacher I have found. I have had lessons with her for over a year now (using skype) and my skill level has increased tremendously thanks to her. She is always prepared for her lessons and every time has material selected appropriate for her students level of understanding furthermore, she creates a fun, relaxed and professional atmosphere in which to learn. I do not believe you will find a better teacher for Portuguese on italki or online than Catherine.

The year of 2025 with Catherine tends to be very exciting. Despite living in China with a few Portuguese speakers, I'm able to manage my Portuguese with all my memories. Catherine is an easy-going person for other who want to learn Portuguese. I would recommend to her 100%
